چکیده

The Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation lacustrine shale oil is the most potential exploration target of unconventional hydrocarbon resource in Southwest China. In this study, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), low-temperature N 2 adsorption (LTNA), and high pressure mercury intrusion injection capillary are intergrated to reveal pore structure its controlling factors reservoir. Results indicate that three types lithology combination classified Liangggaoshan Type A comprises pure shale. B characterized by frequent shell limestone interbedding. C siltstone relatively proportion organic pores, development good connectivity nanopores, highest volume Surface area. nanopores shales mainly dominated mesopores part macropores. Among them, PV SA both micropores. enrichment matter has little effect on micropores, does not affect mesopore macropore development. Quartz particles do clearly facilitate micropore mesopore-macropore. Intraparticle feldspar clast an important component macropore. Clay minerals no positive formation

Nanometer-Scale Pore Characteristics of Lacustrine Shale, Songliao Basin, NE China

In shale, liquid hydrocarbons are accumulated mainly in nanometer-scale pores or fractures, so the pore types and PSDs (pore size distributions) play a major role in the shale oil occurrence (free or absorbed state), amount of oil, and flow features. The pore types and PSDs of marine shale have been well studied; however, research on lacustrine shale is rare, especially for shale in the oil gen...

Determination of Time of Oil Cracking into Gas in Weiyuan Paleo-Oil Pool in Sichuan Basin, South China

Weiyuan gas field, located in the Sichuan basin of south China, is a large marine gas field with the oldest reservoir (the Sinian sequences) in south China. The hydrocarbon origin of the gas field has long been debated by petroleum geologists. Recently, it was recognized that a paleo-oil pool maybe the significant contributor to the gas field. Consequently, when the paleo-oil pool had been crac...

Review of Well Logs and Petrophysical Approaches for Shale Gas in Sichuan Basin, China

China has vast reserves of shale gas. Currently, shale gas is one of the focuses of the unconventional reservoir. Well logs play an import role in shale gas production, and it is the bridge connecting geology, geophysics and petroleum engineering. In the exploration stage, well logs are used to identify lithology, evaluate the parameters of mineral types and compositions, total organic carbon (...

Reservoir Characterization and Quality Controlling Factors of the Fahliyan Formation Located in Southwest Iran

The Berriasian-Valanginian Fahliyan Formation forms one of the giant reservoirs in the subsurface of the Abadan plain, onshore Iran. A detailed petrographical analysis of the available cores and thin sections revealed that the different diagenetic parameters influenced the reservoir quality of the Fahliyan Formation in this field. The Fahliyan Formation has been influenced by three diagenetic e...

Characteristics and origin of the relatively high-quality tight reservoir in the Silurian Xiaoheba Formation in the southeastern Sichuan Basin

A mature understanding of the sandstone gas reservoir in the Xiaoheba Formation in the southeastern Sichuan Basin remains lacking. To assess the reservoir characteristics and the origin of the high-quality reservoir in the Xiaoheba Formation, this paper uses systematic field investigations, physical property analysis, thin section identification, scanning electron microscopy and electron microp...
